1st Princess Birthday Party Games

Crown Your Princess

This is the princess version of the popular game Pin the Tail On The Donkey. To play this game, you need pictures of your birthday girl and a crown.

The goal of each player is to place the crown nearest to your princess’ head. As with the original game, they are blindfolded when they attempt this feat. The kid who was able to pin the crown nearest the target deserves a kiss from the birthday celebrant and a prize.

Balloon Race

You will need tons of pink balloons for this game. This will be an active game with the mom/dad-child tandem working together to achieve the goal, which is to pop all the balloons assigned to them.

The balloons are on one side of the room, while the parent is on the other side. The goal of each kid is to bring a balloon to their parent one at a time, until all the balloons are popped.

The team who showed the most ability in popping balloons in the shortest time possible will be declared your balloon popping champions.

Find Perfect Match

The goal of the game is to match each princess to her prince charming. You can choose to play this as a pen and paper game but we think going for the treasure hunt approach will be more fun and will be better appreciated by your youngsters. We will leave it to you whether to use actual pictures of each princess/prince or if you’re not up to it, just write down each name and attach it to a heart-shaped toy or item.

The goal of each player/group (mom/dad-kid tandem) is to find the most number of pairs within the given time limit. The more found pairs, the better chances of winning.

Here’s a list of popular couples that you might want to include on your game. If you’re going for the treasure hunt version, feel free to include the same couples more than once:

Aurora & Phillip
Prince Charming & Snow White
Cinderella’s Prince & Cinderella
Ariel & Eric
Beast & Belle
Aladdin & Jasmine
Shrek and Fiona
Pocahontas & John Smith
Mulan & Shang

If you want to go beyond princesses, here are some additional romantic couples that you might want to consider:

Esmeralda & Phoebus
Hercules & Megara
Tarzan & Jane

Pass The Shoes

This will play like the popular game Musical Chairs, but instead of chairs, two baby shoes will get passed around, while your birthday music is playing, one in clockwise direction, and the other in counter-clockwise.

When the music stops, whoever has the shoes will need to do a task. The kid who failed to do so or is slower in completing the task is out of the game, music resumes, and the passing of shoes will start all over again.
